Adventure Island Kicks off Seasonal Opening with Youth Triathalon

Adventure Island Triathalon_13The Inaugural Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon kicked off Adventure Island’s Seasonal opening Saturday, March 9. Junior Varsity kids (ages 7 to 10) participated in a 100 m swim, 1.5 mile bike ride, and a half-mile run. Varsity kids (ages 11-15) did a 200m swim, 3 mile ride, followed by a mile-long run.

About 200 participants were up for the challenge, a joint partnership of Busch Gardens’ Adventure Island and the Tampa Bay Sports Commission.
