Happy 5th Birthday Aquatica!

Aquatica headHappy Birthday Aquatica!

In celebration of their 5th birthday, Florida residents and up to five guests*, can buy $5 Aquatica water park tickets valid March 1, 2 or 3. This limited-time offer can be made even BIGGER with an add on of all-day access to Banana Beach Cookout which serves salads, hot dogs, pizza, chicken (my favorite), and other beach-style goodies. Drinks (sodas and coffee) are included, as well (making the total for ticket plus Banana Beach $19.99 for adults and $13.99 for kids 3 to 9).

Insider tip: Visit Banana Beach at off-meal times to avoid long lines. We go in the first hour, then again at maybe 3 p.m. We have too much fun on the slides and on the Shamu 500, er, Roa’s Rapids, to spend any more time than necessary in line!

Limited ticket quantities are available. Click here to buy yours.  [NOTE: As of Thursday, February 21, 2013, all tickets at this special price have been sold.]

  1. never been to aquatica and wondered if there are places to sit and chill without renting the loungers…are there chairs up for grabs or is it worth renting?? also, any idea how busy on a typical Friday in May? coming from canada

    • There are lots of chairs to be had, but if it were me and it was my only day I might go for the rentals just to have the “extra” peaceful experience. There are some “elite” cabanas between the wave pools that are NICE if you can do it. (Movie stars have used those…. Just sayin’.) We don’t spend much time in our chairs, though. Our 6-year-old has us doing the “Shamu 500” (aka Roa’s Rapids) most of the time, LOL. Buy one of the refillable cups when you first go in. They can be refilled all day for 99 cents there all day at any location in the family of parks (SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, etc.).
As far as typical Fridays in May… School is still in around here, so you have that going for you. Should be quite lovely and not too crowded.
      Enjoy your trip!
PS For Roa’s Rapids, use a life vest, even if you don’t usually “need” one. It makes it more relaxing to just bob along in the water. And if you have water shoes, bring them (or they are available for purchase on-site). It makes going around and around the rapids gentler on the pedicure. 😀 (It’s not rough. I just have tender tootsies!)
